November 26, 1953 — July 20, 2017

A Memorial Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Gillette Memorial Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming. Marieta Rieta Ruth Dennis 62, of Gillette passed away peacefully at her home on July 20, 2017. Rieta was born on in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Alvin and Pattie Stearman. She met her husband Michael Lee Dennis and they were united in marriage in 1973. Michael and Rieta shared 37 loving years of marriage together up until Michaels untimely passing in 2009. Out of this blessed union two children were born, Sarah Michelle and Jesse Caleb. Rieta was employed with the Campbell County School District for 30 years and truly took pleasure in not only her job, but the co-workers she encountered over her career. Rieta was the epitome of what a mother should be to her two children. She was not only Sarah and Jesses best friend; she was their counselor, confidant, and protector. She raised her children with an incredible amount of love and devotion. When Sarah and Jesse both had children, Rietas love and devotion grew more than ever thought possible for her grandbabies. Rieta spent every single moment that she could possibly find to get away with her grandbabies, they became her world. She was committed to being a pillar in her grandchildrens lives and proved this to be true daily. She developed a special unique relationship with all 3 of her grandbabies and loved each child well beyond measure. Her love and unique spirit will undoubtedly live on through the hearts of her children and grandbabies as she continues to live on through them. When not spending time with her grandbabies, which was not often, Rieta spent her time doing other things that she loved. She treasured the time she was able to spend with her mother and her sister Kathy. She truly enjoyed gardening and watching her TBN programs. She had an overwhelming spirituality that she continually expanded through bible study and her donations to charity. Rieta will be remembered for a multitude of positive attributes that she brought into this world and also brought out in all that were blessed to know her. She will be thought of often for her kind and loving soul and her utter generosity that knew no bounds. She was always willing to help anyone and everyone without as much as a second thought. To Rieta it did not matter what was needed for what reason, she was there and willing to go to any length to help others. She was beautiful inside and out and her spirit shone through her every day. She was an amazing woman with qualities that will continue to be spoken about for years to come. Rieta is survived by her Mother Pattie Stearman of Gillette, Sister Kathy Stearman of Gillette, Daughter Sarah (Nate) Dennis of Laurel, MT, Son Jesse Dennis of Gillette, and her beloved grandchildren Axton (6), Kennedy (4), and Christian (2).
