Kaidyn OBea Long who was born in Rapid City South Dakota on April 10, 2002 left this earth on July 20, 2017. Kaidyn left behind his father David OBea Little, mother Lea Ann Kratz, and step father Jimmy Kratz. his brother James Long, step sister Alisha Kratz, and step brother Keaton Kratz. There will be a vigil at St. Mathews Catholic church at 7:00p.m., Thursday July 27, 2017. Everyone is encouraged to come, and share stories of his life, visit, fellowship, and pray. His funeral Mass will be on Friday July 28, 2017 at 1:00p.m. There will be a food and refreshments after the service. Kaidyn was a special young man who was taken from all of us way too early. He enjoyed life with a luster that may never be replaced. Kaidyn attended Twin Spruce Jr. High and was going to attend Campbell County High School this fall. Kaidyn enjoyed being in the following programs: Civil Air Patrol, where he rose to the rank of Cadet Sergeant in a short period, Catholic Youth Group, where he was just confirmed this year, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Cross Country, Indoor track, Outdoor track, Razor City Running club, and he once completed a half marathon. Kaidyn owned Longs Lawn Care where he took care of several peoples lawns. Recently he went to work for the Gillette Gun Club whom he thoroughly enjoyed working for. Kaidyn was an avid outdoorsman whom enjoyed, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, wake boarding, downhill skiing, dirt biking, hiking in the Bighorns, shooting, gunsmithing. Kaidyn also enjoyed being with his family and spending time with them. He loved all animals and his pets and understood what hard work and what persistence meant. He always had a sparkle in his eye, a quick wit for a joke, and a smile that was always contagious. Everyone that knew him will miss him greatly and we all cannot wait to see him again. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made in Kaidyns name to St. Matthews Solid Ground Scholarship.
