Memorial services for Thomas begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Church of Christ with Reverend Ernie Bishop officiating. Thomas Anthony Wolff died Monday, July 17, 2017 at Close to Home Hospice House, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 8, 1955 in Gillette, WY to James A and Martha Joan (Groves) Wolff. Thomas grew up on the family ranch near Recluse, WY. He graduated from Campbell County High School. He moved to Colorado for a short time and then returned home and was a founding partner in L & T Inc.In1979 he married Susan DelaMotte and they had three children, Eric, Amy and Nicholas. While the family lived in Gillette he was very active in the New Life Wesleyan Church. Later he moved to Sheridan, WY and worked at Decker Coal Mine as a welder. He moved to Grand Junction, CO where he found his true passion of working with wood and built custom homes. He was active in the Fellowship of Excitement in Grand Junction. Thomas and Susan were later divorced.His children and grandchildren were the most important part of his life. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his mother and brother on the family ranch and traveling.His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, playing golf, loading ammunition with his son and watching old John Wayne movies. His favorite hobby was teasing and pulling pranks on friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Joan Wolff; brother, James H. Wolff of Recluse, WY; sisters, Jane (Larry) Foster and Catherine (Loren) Crain, both of Gillette, WY; his son, Eric Wolff of Gillette; Amy (George Reeves) Wolff and Nicholas Wolff both of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Jaden and Mia Reeves and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Wolff, grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.The family requests that memorials be made in his name to Wounded Warriors of America.
