Funeral services for Velma Harlow will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ernie Bishop officiating; interment to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services also at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Velma Ruth Harlow age 99, passed away July 11, 2017 at peace in her home in Gillette, WY. She was born September 29, 1917 on a little farm north of Gillette; and was the sixth child of seven. Her father was Charles Fredrick Pacot and mother Myrtle Ann Pacot. She had six siblings including; Earl, Eddie, Helen, Bill, Maynard and Beth. Velma loved her Presbyterian Church circle and was a part of it until she had to move to Colorado. She was a school teacher during her younger years in Campbell County. Her biggest love during her 60s was being involved in the black powder community shooting and throwing her tomahawk which she was excelled at. She was married to Kenneth Bunny Harlow and they had three children; Bonnie, Buster, and Susan. The couple was married for 54 years at the time of Bunnys passing on March 28, 1995. Velma was a very loving, kind and forgiving person. Velma is survived by her two daughters; Susan Johner and Bonnie Price, grandchildren; Curt Miller, Eillen Miller, Farron Miller, Nancy Ann Dubel, Scotty Johner, Steven Johner, and many great grandkids and great-great grandkids who she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth Bunny Harlow, son; Kenneth Buster Harlow, granddaughter; Denise Taylor. The family requests that memorials be made in Velmas name to Close to Home Hospice to help families with their stay.
