Jodie Raymond Kruse

Memorial service for Jodie Raymond Kruse will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Cam-Plex Park Shelter #5 where we will remember Ray with friends and family. Jodie Raymond Kruse Cowboy will be laid to rest at the Inyan Kara Cemetery on July 13, 2017 alongside his mom and dad. Jodie Raymond Kruse (COWBOY) age 56 of Gillette, WY passed away July 8th 2017 at the Close to Home Hospice House after a courageous fight with Pancreatic Cancer. Ray or Cowboy as he was known to all was born November 23, 1960 in Hot Springs, SD to Mildred Josephine and Nels Frederick Kruse. He was the youngest of 4 children and the only boy. Ray graduated in 1979 from Newcastle, WY High School where he competed in rodeo. He loved bull riding and team roping and in later years barrel racing, breakaway roping, pole bending, goat tying. He spent many hours watching videos of bull riding and barrel racing to make sure he knew as much as possible to share with his kids. He was employed with Burlington Northern Railroad for over 25 years. In 1994 he married Pam Cash and with this union became a father to Casey Cash and soon to follow a beautiful daughter Cassidy Raye Kruse. In the rodeo world he will be remember as a teacher, a guardian and a friend to all. He leaves behind his family, Pam, Casey and Cassidy! He is survived by his sisters: Pam Deaver (Mike), Ronda Kruse and Jo Dowdy (Nick); Nieces and Nephews: Stacey Bridges (Troy), Justin Hanson (Christina), Dawn George (Brandon), Brad Lessman (Kim), and Lisa Sanderson (Shane). He was proceeded in death by his Mother Jo and Father Nels, Nephew Chris Joubert and Great Nephew Jacob Bridges.
