Ralph Foster

August 3, 1962 — June 10, 2017

Ralph (Poon) FosterRalph Foster, 54, passed away Saturday June 10, 2017 in Billings, MT, with the love of his life Debbie & family by his side. Ralph Maclynn Foster was born August 3, 1962 to Garland and Faye Foster in Belle Fourche, SD. Ralph grew up and attended school in Belle Fourche before he began his truck driving career at a young age. He drove a range of trucks, including cattle, before he began his lifelong career, his passion, as a diesel mechanic. Ralph was a self-taught professional with "54 years of hard knock schooling" and was one of the best around. He was a "hell" of a mechanic, there wasn't a truck you could find, that Ralph couldn't get running. He lived for keeping his hands dirty and busy inside of a truck. During his time in Belle, Ralph was blessed with three children; Angel, Curt, & Kevin Foster. He then moved to Wyoming where he was blessed with another daughter, Shalynn Foster. Gillette, Wyoming is where Ralph settled to make his life and met his soul mate, Debbie Holmes. Their love for eachother was undeniable and they made many great memories together. In 2016 Ralph was joined with his sidekick, his best friend and companion, his dog Jack who never left his side.Ralph was a simple man with simple taste, but with a heart of gold who would do anything for any of his friends and family. He was always there to answer any questions or ready to help with a "what time we starting in the morning", no questions asked. Loyal to the bone, but also honest and the first to speak his mind, he had no problem with telling things as he saw them. Ralph enjoyed a cold Budweiser at the end of a long day, camping in the mountains, making memories with Debbie, Jack and the kids, spending time with his friends and family, working, driving, and talking trucks. He loved a good black and white western and some Jonny Cash music. Ralph will be remembered for his generousity & loyalty, his knowledge, his ability to make you laugh with his big smile, and his many stories that usually began with "You know I've been thinking.. He will be deeply missed by many.Ralph is Survived by his four children; Angel Foster of Powell, WY, Curt Foster of Belle Fourche, SD, Kevin Foster of Belle Fourche, SD, Shalynn Foster of Casper, WY.
