Jo Anne Gregory

Memorial service for Joann Gregory will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Calvary Community Church with Pastor Don Wight officiating. Jo Anne Gregory age 80, born and raised in Gillette, WY went to be with the Father Monday, May 22, 2017. She passed away in her home on North Garner Lake Road of natural causes. Jo Anne was born on January 5, 1937 to Joseph Edgar and Mildred Louise Drake. Jo Anne graduated CCHS in 1955 and subsequently married the love of her life Charles (Jerry) Gregory. Following the birth of her two children, Jo Anne was a stay-at-home mother during their early childhood years. As the children became school age she worked her way up as an accomplished bookkeeper at Stockmens Bank, becoming head bookkeeper. Pursuing a business opportunity the family relocated to Buffalo, WY in the spring of 1972; where Jo Anne continued working in the banking industry until a later time she partnered in the family business. Jo Anne cherished her family through good times and bad. She was an exceptional example of a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her quiet demeanor often surprised other with her quick wit and unique sense of humor. She loved to laugh. Jo Anne was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed playing bridge and socializing. Jerry and Jo Anne moved back to Jerry's family ranch outside of Gillette on Garner Lake Road in the early 90's, where they had lived as newlyweds and always dreamed of pursuing raising cattle together. Jo Anne and Jerry often spent their weekends with family and friends at the lake or in the Big Horn Mountains. Jo Anne will always be loved and missed by many. Jo Anne is survived by Charles Jerry Gregory her husband of 62 years, two children; Charles Lee Gregory of Krum, TX and Lori Jo Mitchell of Gillette, WY, 4 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, brother; Jim Drake of Phoenix, AZ , sister; Judy Vislocil of AZ , six nieces and five nephews.
