Memorial services for Frank Krebs will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Keyhole Country Club, followed by a celebration of his life with a potluck luncheon at Skippy's Anchor Bar in Pine Haven, WY. Frank Krebs 64, of Pine Haven, Wyoming passed away on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. Frank, affectionately known as Frankie, to his many friends in Pine Haven, was a gentle man, not big in stature, but very huge hearted. Frank was born in Lemmon, South Dakota on May 15, 1952 to Nicholas and Katherine Krebs. Frank married Angela LaBarge in 1979. They were later divorced. Of this union one son was born, Johnny Krebs. Frank attended Catholic elementary school and graduated from Lemmon High School in 1970. Frank was a stockholder and past board member of the Keyhole Country Club. Frank served for many years on the Pine Haven Volunteer Fire Department as a fire fighter and mechanic. Frank was a proud member of the Keyhole Reservoir Fishing Association, helping with their annual fish fry. Frank was the lifetime president of the original P.H. A. C. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing, working Sudoku puzzles, singing Karaoke and could be found reading every page of the newspaper. Frank worked in many jobs over his life. He worked for the family welding and black smith business for many years. Frank worked for Von's Welding in Gillette in the early 1980's. Including a pipeline job in Vernal, Utah in 1980, where his son was born. Frank worked in Hanna, WY in 1986. He would tell you that while working in Hanna, he and Johnny lived in Elmo, a suburb of Hanna. Frank worked for Kerr McGee including rocket fuel and titanium recovery projects in Mississippi in 1990. In 1991 Frank began working for Harwood Construction in Pine Haven. Frank told many of his friends the reason he moved to Pine Haven was because he wanted the kinder, gentler life for his son, Johnny that living in Pine Haven could provide. Frank was the head greens keeper for the Keyhole Country Club from 1993 to 2004. In 2004 Frank took a job with 1st Energy/Basic Energy as a shop mechanic; retiring in 2014. All of Frankie's family and friends will miss Frankie and his sense of humor, especially when relating his life in stories. It has been heard that he once was in Rifle, Co. Frank is survived by his son; John Krebs, of Pine Haven, brothers; Cliff and Robert Krebs of Lemmon South Dakota, sisters; Lorraine Moser, Doris (Earl) Kile of Lemmon SD, Triena Warfield of Colstrip MT, Ann Watkins of Yakima WA, Cindy (Jim) Kountz of Vancouver, WA, Jackie (Pete) Timm of Bowdie, SD.
