Harold 'Swede' Heimgartner

Funeral service for Harold "Swede" Heimgartner will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Jared Tucher officiating. A visitation will be from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m., Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Walker Funeral Home. Harold Dean Heimgartner age 89, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at his home in Gillette, WY. Harold "Swede" Heimgartner was born on April 10, 1927 in Hinton, IA to Walter and Marie (Woldt) Heimgartner. He attended school and resided in LeMars, IA until moving to Gillette, WY in 1980. He was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton, IA in 1941. Swede worked in construction his entire life. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Gillette for over 30 years. He was active in the church ushering, maintenance, delivering Meals on Wheels, attending bible studies, and helping fill Christmas Food Baskets. Harold is survived by sister-in-law, Myrna Heimgartner, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert.
