Funeral service for Leroy Rassbach will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 13, 2017 at Family Life Church with Pastor Marty Crump officiating; interment to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Leroy Rassbach, age 85, of Savageton, WY died Wednesday, February 08, 2017 at Campbell County Health in Gillette, WY. Leroy was born May 11, 1931 to Virgil and Emma (Howell) Rassbach in Savageton, Wyoming. He attended school in Gillette. Leroy joined the United States Army in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1954. He married Helen Montgomery in 1959 and two children were born to this union, the couple later divorced. After serving in the United States Army, Leroy went to work on the Rassbach Ranch and leased land near Lusk where he ran cattle. In 1976 he built Savageton Bar but closed it down in 1988 due to no business. Leroy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, ranching, farming and working livestock. He always made time for kids and grandkids and loved the time he spent with them. Leroy spent twenty years with Campbell County Predatory Animal Control and worked for a local uranium company for twenty years also. Leroy is survived by his son, Terry Rassbach of Gillette, WY; daughter, Vicky Rassbach of Gillette, WY; sister, Marlene Riggle of Gillette, WY; grandchildren, Sean, Amber, Kia; great grandchildren, Dayton, Jami and Blake. He is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Kegan Rassbach.
