Memorial Service for Kari Ann Brinkerhoff-Wales will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at New Life Wesleyan Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to New Life Wesleyan Church. Kari Ann Wales (Brinkerhoff, Allen) age 42 of Gillette passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones on February 7, 2017 after a 13 year battle with breast cancer.She was born in Worland WY on April 29, 1974 to her parents Edward Allen and Waynette NicholsKari loved traveling, riding her Harley Trike, quilting and spending time with her family and friends. Even though she died from cancer it did not define her. Kari graduated from Worland High School in 1992. She met and married her High School sweetheart Warren Brinkerhoff in June 1991. Together they raised two wonderful children. In 2000 they moved their family to Gillette.After Warren's sudden death in June 2012 and her children, fully grown, had left her nest she found herself living alone, but not for long. Kari had met Ed Wales who not only accepted but battled alongside Kari while also enjoying many great adventures including a surprise proposal and wedding while in Hawaii on her birthday in 2014. Kari is survived by her husband Ed Wales, son Hagen Brinkerhoff with fianc Leanna Thara, daughter Brittani Phelps with Husband Garth Phelps and granddaughter Blakelee of Gillette. Parents Waynette Nichols and husband Tom Nichols of Douglas, Ed Allen and wife Connie Allen, Brother Shelby Allen and sister Shannon Hartnett and countless other family members.Preceded in death by Husband Warren and all of her grandparents.Kari requested that in lieu of flowers that donations be given to New Life Wesleyan Church at 1000 Comanche Ave., Gillette, WY 82718 or www.newlilfegillette.com.
