Funeral Service for Charles "Ralph" Coleman will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday February 2, 2017 at Westside Baptist with Pastor Brent Howard officiating in Gillette, WY. Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m., Friday February 3, 2017 at Kimball Cemetery in Kimball, NE. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday February 1, 2017 at Walker Funeral Home. Charles Ralph Coleman passed peacefully at home on January 29, 2017. Ralph was born on December 19, 1934 in Paris, Arkansas to James Alexander and Ella Fair Riddle Coleman, the eighth of fourteen children. Ralph spent his career working in the oil field and mining all over the world. In the early 2000's, he retired from Newmont Gold Mine in Nevada, returning to Gillette and later taking a position with West Electric where he enjoyed working with Jim West and giving him something to whistle about. He was married for over 50 years to Kolleen Maxine Hansen, an adventure that began on April 21, 1955 and gave them four children. Maxine passed away in 2005, and he married Mary Jane Cole Cooley on November 15, 2008. Known as Bronco Ralph to his family, he loved fishing, spending time with his grandkids, and building model ships. Left to cherish his memory are his second wife, Mary, his children, Charles Paul, Danny Joe and his wife Dawn, Ella Marie and Ralph Michael, his brother Joe Russell and his sisters Emogene, Sammy Lou and Judy Sue. He and Maxine were blessed with five granddaughters: Maegan, Alexandra, Colleen, Kim, and Kelly, and five great grandchildren including Sophia, Anna, Kaden, Addison, and Millie. Memorials may be made to Hospice House and the Heptner Cancer Center in his name.
