Edmund 'Ed' Lee Guernsey Sr

Funeral service for Edmund Lee Guernsey Sr., will be held at 7 p.m. Monday January 23, 2017 at First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Judith England officiating. Visitation will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Edmund Lee Guernsey Sr., age 61, of Rozet, WY passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Edmund was born August 13, 1955 in Traverse City, MI to Milton and Shirley (Horton) Guernsey. Ed grew up and attended school in Buckley, MI. Growing up, Ed worked on several farms in Michigan. After moving to Wyoming in 1996 he worked for Hot Iron Inc, and Dry Fork Mine. Ed loved his family very much. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing in the mountains especially when he could take his grandkids and teach them his secrets to hunting and fishing. He loved nothing more than spending time with his friends and family. He spent many hours tinkering on his little house or his vehicles. Ed was a faithful member of First Church of the Nazarene. Ed is survived by sons Edmond Arlt, Edmund (Nikki) Guernsey Jr., Steven (Megan) Guernsey, Ryan Jensen, daughters Samantha (Kenny) Harper, Amanda Guernsey, brothers Elmer (Susan) Guernsey, Rex Guernsey, Neil (Cathy) Guernsey, Carl (Helena) Guernsey, Milton (Patricia) Guernsey Jr., sisters, Susan (Ron) Meteer and Sally Guernsey. Fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, M. June Mason.In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to benefit First Church of the Nazarene.
