John David Kerns

Memorial Service for John D. Kerns will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday January 6, 2017 at Walker Funeral Home with Erik Bergquist officiating. John D. Kerns, age 68, of Rozet passed away at Close To Home Hospice House on January 1, 2017.John David Kerns was born April 30, 1948 to George Willard and Bessie "Bea" Kerns in Scott City, Kansas. He graduated from High School in Casper, Wyoming and also earned an Associates of Science degree in Forestry. He was united in marriage to Allyson McEvers on December 18th, 1982. Allyson and John met working in the oil field and then owned their own business, Rocky Mountain Cementers. They lived in Casper and Gillette, WY. John enjoyed traveling (especially in his RV), bowling, golfing, fine dining, and time with his family. He loved science fiction and fantasy novels and enjoyed many different movies. He was creative and a wonderful woodworker. John is survived by his wife, Allyson, his two daughters Lora (Josh) and Sarah (Cody), grandchildren Van, Etta, and Josephine, sister Joyce, and nephews Dale (Gwen) and Reo (Robin). He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial has been established in his name.
