Dudley R. Edwards, SR., 84, passed away on December 2, 2016 of natural causes at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center, Surrounded by his family. Dudley was born April 5, 1932 in Gebo, WY, a small town outside of Thermopolis to Tudor and Mae Edwards. He attended school in Sheridan, graduating in 1950 from Sheridan High School. Dudley joined the Navy and served 4 years abroad the USS Essex during the Korean War. He received an honorable discharge in 1953 and joined his parents in operating their business Tudor Cleaners in Sheridan, WY. He married Evelyn Capillupo on May 4, 1957. Dudley and Evelyn had two children Dudley Jr. and Kelly. In 1981, Dudley and Evelyn sold the cleaners and moved to Nevada where they both worked for a government contractor. They retired to Gillette in 1996 to be close to their children and grandchildren. Dudley enjoyed golfing and was an avid Wyoming Cowboys fan. Dudley is survived by his wife, son Dudley Jr. of Gillette and daughter Kelly (Floyd) Hamilton also of Gillette, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tudor. A private family service will be held in Sheridan, WY at a later date.
