Jean Marie Prieb

Funeral service for Jean Prieb will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ernie Bishop officiating; interment to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday, November 25, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Jean Marie Prieb age 59, of Gillette, Wyoming received her ticket to Heaven on Monday, November 21, 2016 in Denver, CO at Swedish Medical Center due to complications resulting from a stroke. Jean was born on November 7, 1957 in Webster City, Iowa to Lawrence and Rosella Rhyan. The family moved to Riverton, WY for a short time before settling in Gillette, WY. She attended school in Gillette, and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1976. Jean was a kind and passionate person who spent her life helping those in need. She enjoyed reading, singing, and being with her children and grandchildren. She was an active member at the Gillette Church of Christ. Jean started out running an in home daycare center. She later spent many years as an in home health care provider. She then spent the rest of her time as an associate at Wal-Mart, where she met her husband Mike Prieb. Mike and Jean were married in May 2011. She suffered a stroke in 2012, which left her unable to work. Jean spent her remaining years at home with her children and found happiness as a devoted grandmother to her five grandchildren. Jean is survived by her husband; Mike Prieb, son; Timothy Rhyan, daughter; Christina (Keith) Wright, father; Gene Rhyan of Phoenix, AZ, sister; Roxanne (Don) Botic of Omaha, NE, brother; Monty Rhyan, grandchildren; Ethan Wright, Abby Wright, Isiah Wright, Eli Wright, and Gracie Wright.
