Celebration of life for Joseph Leo Sullivan will be held at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2016 at The Nail Bar in the Latigo Hills Mall in Wright, WY. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Rawlins Cemetery in Rawlins, WY. Joseph Leo Sullivan was born in Sinclair, WY on December 20, 1952 to John L. Sullivan and Ura Joette (Lawrence) Sullivan. Joe passed away suddenly at his home in Wright, WY on October 22, 2016. Joe was one of three boys including his brothers; Steve and Kevin. Joe attended school in Rawlins, WY and graduated from high school in 1972. He went on to train as a mechanic at Denver Diesel Automotive for two years. He returned and worked in Rawlins as a mechanic. He married Dina Hall on May 19, 1977. Joe began working as a coal miner in 1978 with Medicine Bow Coal in Hanna, WY. He was a miner for over 38 years; 27 of those years with Arch Mineral where he worked at the time of his death. Joe and Dina had three boys; E.J., Scott and Travis. The family moved while Joe mined in Wyoming, Nevada, and California and back to Wyoming. Dina and Joe later divorced. Joe later married Adrianne Wagnon in February of 2000, they later divorced. Joe loved his job and working with his 400 ton haul truck. He was a caring man and would give the shirt off his back to his friends. He enjoyed the people he met in life. He thought a lot of his three boys; and they all wish they had more time together. Kanuck; Joe's Alaskan malamute best friend and partner in crime lives on as a memory. Joe is survived by his sons; E.J. Sullivan and wife Melissa and their daughters, Laney and Demi of Lander, WY, Scott Sullivan and wife Becky Irene of Rawlins, WY and Travis Sullivan of Wright, WY, brother; Kevin of California, step-daughter; Teresa Jones of Encampment, WY.
