Funeral service for Dolores D. Standley will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2016 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Carnahan officiating; interment will take place in Sheridan, WY. Visitation will take place Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Gillette resident Dolores Dorothy Standley, 81 died Wednesday, October 19, 2016 of renal failure at Close to Home Hospice in Gillette, WY. She was born to George R. and Helen D. (Peura) Gwinner in Livermore, CA. They moved to Sheridan when she was young, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She was married to John Morgan and they had 2 children. They later divorced. She married David Standley. They lived in Lincoln, NE, Sheridan, WY and Gillette, WY. She attended Abundant Life Church. Her hobbies were music, reading books, bird watching, plants, red hatting, and she was an avid camper and hiker. Dolores is survived by husband; David, sister; Audrey (Gwinner) Luke, son; Harold (Darla) Morgan, daughter; Helen (John) Hayden, along with 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Dolores' name to Close to Home Hospice.
