Robert Leroy Dennis

Robert "Bob" Dennis age 73 of Gillette, WY lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Close to Home Hospice House with the love of his life and family by his side. Bob was born July 17, 1943 to Everett and Bernice (Ingmire) Dennis in Fort Morgan, CO. He started delivering newspapers at the age of 9 to help out the family. Bob had one sister and two brothers. Bob joined the Navy in 1960 working as a mechanic until 1964. He married Valerie Wood in 1963; they had two children; Stacy and Steven. The couple later divorced. Bob married the love of his life Beryl Watson on October 17, 1980 in Akron, CO. They moved to Gillette in 1979 where Bob worked for KG Construction and Magna until retiring in 2012. Bob loved helping people and going to auctions. He would fix anything you put in front of him. Bob was a great husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1957 and American Legion Post 42. Bob is survived by his wife of almost 36 year; Beryl Dennis, daughter; Stacy Masters of Goodland, KS, son; Steven Masters of Sterling, CO, stepdaughters; Yvonne (Bill) Buckey of Gillette, WY, Shannon Glass of Gillette, WY, Melanie (Joe) Robbins of Bosier City, LA, Michelle Mahoney of Gillette, WY, stepson; Michael (Amy) Watson of Holmen, WI, sister; Patty (Bob) Neb of Meade, CO, brothers; Rocky Dennis of Omaha, NE, and Loren (Paula) Dennis of Englewood, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents. Bob is greatly missed and loved by his family and friends. No funeral services are planned at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
