Cesrea Maretta Wise

June 15, 1997 — August 28, 2016

Memorial Service for Cesrea M. Wise will be held at Walker Funeral Home in Gillette, WY on Friday, September 2 at 10:00 a.m. A fellowship luncheon will follow at the Stark Residence at 3900 Overdale Drive, Gillette WY. Cesrea Maretta Wise was born on June 15, 1997. She passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the young age of 19.Cesrea was born in Sturgis, SD in 1997 and resided in Lead, SD until 1998. The family then moved to Gillette, WY, where she resided until her death. She attended Pronghorn Elementary school, Sage Valley Junior High, and graduated from Westwood High School in 2015. After high school, Cesrea was employed at a few businesses here in Gillette including Legacy Cleaning, Ice Cream Land, and Village Inn. During the past couple years, she developed a love for the city of Rochester Minnesota and knew it was a place she wanted to be. She had recently been making plans to attend college there to become an aesthetician and makeup artist. Anyone that knew Ces knew that she absolutely adored anything that had to do with makeup, hairstyles, or sparkly fingernails. She loved any and all shades of pinks & purples, and of course all her infamous cheetah prints. Other hobbies included reading all the books she could get her hands on, and watching horror flicks (the scarier, the better!). Another one of Ces's true loves was animals, especially dogs. She was the first to volunteer when it came to taking care of other people's pets. She loved babysitting and spending time with little ones. And any time you rode in a vehicle with her, you were guaranteed lots of dancing and singing at the top of her lungs in the back seat. She had an infectious laugh and unique, unmistakable cackle that everyone adored. You could always tell that it was Cesrea laughing! Ces had lots of fashion and makeup tips to dole out to everyone and she knew the best place to shop was in Aunt Tawnee's closet. She always made sure she was close by when Aunt Tawnee started cleaning stuff out. To know Cesrea (or affectionately known by her cousin Haleigh as "Cesee") meant to know a young woman who always cared so deeply about what everyone was up to in their lives. She was always so supportive and excited and proud of all the family and friends she had in her life.In 2011, Cesrea was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer when she was 14 years old. She was a strong fighter, a warrior, and with the love and support of the people around her, she completed treatment and began the long road of recovery. Over the course of the last 5 years, Cesrea traveled to countless cities to confer with dozens of doctors and hospitals to find some kind of reprieve for the unexplained chronic pain that she was experiencing. But through all of that pain, Cesrea always kept her chin up, smiled her "Cesrea" smile, and continued to fight. Her family meant more to her than anything. Anywhere Ces went, she was the first to give anyone a big hug and tell you she loved you. And when she left someone, it was more hugs and kisses. She loved Johnny, Korrie, & Spenser fiercely but there was a special mother-daughter bond between Korrie and Ces that one rarely gets to ever experience in their lifetime. To know them and to see them together was to experience a beauty truly created by God. And although her life was cut short way too soon, we were truly blessed to have had this beautiful girl in our lives.
