Marion Lenora Collins

Memorial service for Marion Lenora Collins will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at High Plains Community Church in Gillette, WY with Pastor Dan Morgan officiating. Lenora Collins, 94, of Cheyenne and more recently Moorcroft, died Aug 6, 2016 at the Memory Care Unit of Pioneer Manor in Gillette. She was born Sept 20, 1921 in Alva, WY to Harold and Marion Wells. She married Wilford Collins on June 10, 1939 in Belle Fourche, S.D. She was a member of North Christian Church in Cheyenne, Rebekah's in Sundance and American Legion Auxiliary in Hulett. She enjoyed boating, water-skiing, camping, fishing and riding motorcycles with her husband of 69 years. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2008. A woman full of life, love, and compassion, she offered her life here as a service to everyone around her. She is now reunited with Wilford and enjoying eternity with her Savior. We will miss her laugh and her passion for the things of God. She modeled loving the family, serving the community, gratitude in everything and standing for what she believed in. She is survived by son Terry (Dottie) Collins of Windsor, CO; two daughters: Lorna Dee (Neal) Gray of Moorcroft, WY, and Lynn LaRue (Terry) Bray of Dayton, NV; two sisters: Rose Zella (Dick) Proctor of Sundance, WY and JoeDee Shellenberger of Billings, MT; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Jr. Wells, two sisters, Cleo Bear and Shirley Leger. Memorials can be made in Lenora's name to Alva Community Cemetery that held a special place in Lenora's heart.
