Funeral service for Valerie Weeding will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 5, 2016 at Gillette Memorial Chapel, with interment to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Valerie's favorite color was purple, and we'd be honored if you'd wear your favorite shade. Visitation will take place 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Valerie Rae Weeding was born March 5, 1960 to Janet Longwell Wade in Maywood, CA and was adopted by Allen Hudson in 1964. She grew up in Williston, ND and lived until 1970 and then moved to Gillette, WY. She attended Campbell County Schools where she graduated. Valerie went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2016 after a 15 year battle with COPD. She fought every day to make it the best it could be and the fill as many people as she could with joy.Valerie married Steve Walters in 1981. She had two daughters, Carrie Anne and Christina Michelle. They later divorced in 1983. In 1985, she married Dan Weeding and together they had one son, Chase. They later divorced in 1993. Valerie began dating the love of her life Ron Browen in 1998, gaining two step sons Zachary and Jeremy Browen. Ron was the love of her life, traveling partner and later, caretaker. Valerie worked and excelled with Tupperware and Avon sales when her children were younger, and was always happy to cruise in the pink station wagon she received for sales awards!. She was also very involved with her children's education as a task force member on many issues and was a PTO member at Paintbrush Elementary. She was also a very active Girl Scout Leader for her daughters when they were younger.Valerie was a hard worker and took pride in managing Moore Mining for over 15 years for Joe Moore. Her interests were in all aspects of Art and Law. She loved spending time traveling, gambling, and being with her family; which was very important to her. Her motivation and inspiration in her later years was her grandchildren. Every holiday was focused around a new and exciting craft that she always did with each grandchild or for each grandchild.Valerie was known for her contagious smile and laugh. Her kind and compassionate heart left an impact on everyone who knew her. The life she lived with COPD is one we cannot humanly comprehend, but even through the struggles, she was always there to give of herself. She was strong, courageous, beautiful and full of grace.She is survived by her wonderful loving partner and caretaker, Ron Browen, children; Carrie Anne Ellison (Quenton), Christa Dodge (Joseph) and Chase Weeding, stepsons; Zachary Browen and Jeremy Browen, grandchildren; Tajah Raye Edwards, Jack Dodge, Luke Dodge, Jory Browen and RyLee Browen, brothers; Don Hudson (Terri), Tom Hudson (Vieka).She is preceded in death by her father, Allen Hudson and mother, Janet Longwell-Hudson.Memorials are to be made to COPD support group at COPD Support Inc.
