Roxane Rae Carlson

Memorial service for Roxane Carlson of Gillette, WY will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016 at Walker Funeral Home. Roxane Carlson, age 59, ended her battle with dementia, Friday July 29, 2016, at Sheridan Manor. Roxane Rae (Hagen) Carlson was born on October 15, 1956 in Powers Lake, North Dakota to Clarice (Helgeson) and Landis Hagen. Roxane attended school in Columbus, North Dakota until moving to Gillette in 1969, where she graduated from Campbell County High School. She married Owen Carlson on October 9, 1981. Together they raised their two children, Cory and Crystal. Roxane worked at Precision Well Service as a secretary for many years before staying at home with her children and working part-time as a merchandiser at local grocery stores. When her kids were grown she returned to work at Precision Well Service, where she became a full time Grandma. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, she enjoyed every moment spent with her three grandboys. Roxane had many hobbies including; camping in the mountains, attending all her grandchildren's activities, spending time with her family and friends, crocheting, cross stitching, and working outside in her yard, picking weeds and taking care of her flower beds. Roxane is survived by her husband, Owen Carlson; brother, Rick (Lesa) Hagen; children, Cory (Erin) Carlson and Crystal Foss; grandchildren, Kyler Carlson, Taylor Foss and Kelby Foss, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Landis and Clarice Hagen.A memorial has been established to benefit Pilots for Christ.
