Troy Mader, husband, father, and grandfather passed away last Thursday, July 14, 2016, in a four-wheeler accident, while herding cattle North of Gillette, Wy. Troy was born December 1, 1955. He was a devout Christian, writer, passionate musician, and former Wyoming House Representative. He graduated from Sunshine Bible Academy near Miller, SD and attended Grand Canyon Christian College in Arizona, where he studied Biblical Theology and Music. Throughout his life, Troy ministered in song at nursing homes in various areas, bringing joy to the elderly. Along with performing many patriotic concerts celebrating his love for God and Country. His passion went into two full-length albums: 'Freedoms Struggle" and "This Little Light of Mine". 'Love your neighbor' took an active role in Troy's life as he and his wife, Cindy, founded a free Community Thanksgiving Dinner, on Thanksgiving Day, in Beresford, SD. It has continued for over 10 years. He also led Bible studies, prayer teams and participated in personal mentorship of young men. His latest passion, was writing a catalog of condensed devotionals he hoped to one day publish in app form to provide spiritual encouragement in the digital age. Troy was a Gideon, and a member of Pilots for Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, R. A. Dick and Ena (Forbes) Mader. He is survived by his wife, Cindy K. Mader; children, Ken Viergets, Aaron Viergets, Letitia Gill, Alyssa Fugatt, Brittney Rosales, Levi Mader, Ashley Mader and Travis Mader. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
