Alice Mae Elder

Funeral Service for Alice M. Elder will be held at 2:00p.m. June 17, 2016 at Walker Funeral Home with Marty Crump of Family Life Church officiating. Lifelong Gillette resident Alice Mae Elder, Age 100, passed away June 14, 2016 at Pioneer Manor surrounded by her family. She was born November 28, 1915 in Finland, MN to John and Jenny (Slechta) Prazma. At the age of three her parents and nine siblings moved to Campbell County Wyoming where she lived the rest of her life. On May 11, 1941 she married Clarence W. (Snakey) Elder and together they had four children. Her husband whom she adored passed away in 1986. She was a very determined and hard working woman. She spent her life being a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her children and grandchildren and she will be sadly missed by them all. She lived in her own home until the age of 99 when a broken hip forced her to have to move into Pioneer Manor. She is survived by her twin sons, Wayne (Rhonda) Elder and Walter (Connie Kolielusz) Elder; her two daughters, Betty (Sherald) Schuh and Debbie (Darel) Clements; her seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters (Rose Stillion, Anna Thompson and Jane Bittner) and 6 brothers (Charlie, Frank, Jim, John, George & Ed Prazma).
