Memorial service for Glenda Matlack of Gillette, WY will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2016 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Ray and Karen Maple officiating. Glenda Hope Matlack age 74 passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Close to Home Hospice of natural causes. Glenda was born on July 10, 1941 to Hazel (Pierce) and Ralph Matlack in Edmon, PA. The family moved to Gillette, WY in 1947 where Glenda attended and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1959. Glenda married Harold Roger Rank after graduation and from this union two daughters were born. The couple later divorced. In May of 1964 Glenda married Ned Stroup and from this union Glenda welcomed a son and another daughter. The couple later divorced. Glenda enjoyed anything which involved her creative talents including; quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, planting, drawing, and cross-stitch. She was also an avid painter which was shared with all during her time as owner and operator of Dusty Corner Ceramics and also Tandy Leather Store. Glenda was a bus driver for the Campbell County School District and she was also a security officer with Securitas. Glenda was loved by many and will be missed by all. Glenda is survived by her son; Duane Stroup of Fresno, CA, daughters; Wanda Koffler and Marilyn Heer of Gillette, WY, brothers; Edward Matlack and Herbert Matlack, both of Wyoming and Richard Matlack of Montana, sisters; Louis Bundy of Gillette, WY and Sue Dunn of Maricopa, AZ, along with 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Barbara Dewine, and sisters; Aquilla Morel and Constance Travis.
