Donna Jean Harvel

August 8, 1956 — May 29, 2016

On May 29, 2016 Donna Jean Harvel (Foltz), of Gillette WY, gained her angel wings as she entered the pearly gates and met her Lord and Savior face to face. Donna lived a wonderful life full of love and family. Her kids and grandkids were her pride and joy. She spent 40 years married to her best friend Fred L. Harvel; he was her rock. She was born in Farmington New Mexico on August 8, 1956 to Damon Foltz and Darlene Wocicicki (Koop). They moved to Wyoming shortly afterward; where she spent most of her life with her parents and siblings. She attended school in Upton, Wyoming where she graduated in 1974. She met and married Lindsay (Fred) on May 28, 1976. In 1978, they welcomed their first child, son David. In 1980, they finished their little family with the birth of their daughter, Amy. During Donna's Upton years she was known to many of her children's friends and the neighborhood as MOM. She enjoyed her coffee time with the ladies and working in her church anyway she was needed. She also loved Upton Fundays and made it a point to continue the tradition with her children and, later, her grandchildren. After raising their children, she and Lindsay moved to Gillette, WY. She was then blessed with six grandchildren who became her whole world. She could always be found showing off pictures of "her babies" anywhere she went and later flooded her Facebook with every milestone. Even after she became ill, she would do whatever she could to be able to attend her grandchildren's school and sporting events. She was their biggest cheerleader and always had her tablet out to take pictures. Although Donna worked various jobs throughout her life, her proudest role was that of wife, mother, and grandmother. Her 40th anniversary the day before she passed shows a testament of true love. Donna had the biggest heart of anyone and was full of love and compassion for anyone she met. She loved her family so much and held on to know they were all going to be ok. Donna is survived by the love of her life, Fred Lindsay Harvel of Gillette, son David (Tera) Harvel of Gillette, daughter Amy (Chris) Weber of Gillette, grandchildren Tristan, Dainaka, and Temperance Harvel and Peighton, Mackenzie, and Corbin Weber, sisters Marlene Schell (Mike) of Gillette, Peggy Montoya (Ike) of Denver, CO, Debbie Holmes of Gillette, and brother, Donald Foltz SR. of Gillette, nephews Daniel (Shannon) Hammond of Gillette, Michael Hammond of Gillette, Bryan Hammond of Gillette, Jeremy Montoya of Denver, CO, Donald Foltz, Jr. of Gillette, Jonathan (Tinelle) Foltz of Gillette, nieces Trisha (Mike) Stieg of Gillette, Michelle Bruce of Gillette, Sheila Montoya of Denver, CO, Kristina (Paul) Reynolds of Gillette, and Katrina Memmel of Denver, CO, and numerous great nephews and nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, brother Richard Foltz, great-niece Jessica Hammond, great-nephew Tristan Hammond, and her very special Aunt Connie Montgomery. Because her heart had so much love to give, God blessed her with so many family members and friends to love her back. She will be remembered for her big hugs, her beautiful smile, and her love.
