Funeral service and celebration of life for Stephanie Wright-Petersen will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Bodin officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Stephanie loved the color pink, so guests are welcome to wear a splash of pink to the service in Stephanie's honor. Stephanie Rose Wright-Petersen age 23 was born on September 10, 1992 in Gillette, WY to Kalina and Richard (Dick) Petersen. She was reunited in heaven with her Dad on May 12, 2016. Stephanie grew up in Gillette, where she participated in the gifted program at Campbell County Schools; she enjoyed the academic competitions. She loved to read so much, that she taught herself how to speed read. Her competitive spirit allowed her to enjoy a variety of sports; including t-ball, basketball, soccer, and karate. Volleyball was her favorite sport. Camping, fishing and 4-wheeling were her cherished times with her dad. Stephanie had a highly energetic personality, she loved to laugh and be surrounded by her endless number of friends. She grew up with the Prince of Peace youth group and loved attending youth gatherings and church camps. Stephanie was also a Girl Scout for a few years and enjoyed the time with her friends. Stephanie married Nick Wright on June 12, 2011. The couple was blessed with a son; Bentley Wright. The couple later divorced. Bentley was her light and joy. She was so proud of him. Stephanie is survived by her son; Bentley Wright, mother; Kalina Petersen, brother; Matt (Liz) Petersen, grandmother; Bonnie Petersen, nephew; Hudson Petersen, and fianc; Rory McBride, soon to be step-children; Sarah and Tristen, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
