Madison Nicole Gross, age 16 of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Madison was born August 28, 1999 in Miles City, Montana. From the moment Madison was born, she lit up the world with her smile. With all of her ringlet curls, everyone saw her as Shirley Temple. She enjoyed Girls Scouts, dance, soccer and gymnastics while in Elementary School and had a lot of friends she absolutely adored. Madison had an amazing sense of humor that could make almost any situation hilarious. Madison began shooting and hunting with her dad when she was 6 years old. She loved fishing very much as well; there are many cherished memories of these times. Madison was everything to her mom. They had an unbelievable, unbreakable bond. They would simply just look at one another and know exactly what the other was thinking. They were the very best of friends. Her three sisters were completely enamored with her and really looked up to her. Madison could make Mackenzie laugh like no other; she was very special in that way. From the time Madison was 3 years old, she was helping with her younger sister, doing things like operating feeding pumps, venting G-tubes and all sorts of other things that no three year old should have any knowledge of. She was amazing in that respect. Madison and Morgan had a very special bond through all of the years of having to take a backseat while her parents were caring for Mackenzie. Maesen loved Madison dearly and viewed her literally almost as a second mother, given their enormous age difference. She will be missed immensely by her two sisters. The bond between Madison and Mackenzie cannot be explained in words. Now they are together again. Madison is survived by her parents, Nathan Gross and Christina Gross (Luke Edens), two sisters Morgan and Maesen Gross, all of Gillette, Wyoming, brother, Matthew Pedersen of Spearfish, SD Grandmother Eva Gross of Gillette, Grandmother Debby Penne of Dallas, TX, Uncle Scott (Tammy) Gross of Belle Fourche, SD, Uncle Steve (Susie) Gross of Belle Fourche, SD, Aunt Lorrie (Josh) Keele of Billings, MT, Uncle Todd Wood of Dallas, Tx, Aunt Meredith (Justin) Buie of Denton, TX along with numerous cousins. Madison was preceded in death by, Grandfather James Gross and her sister Mackenzie Gross.
