Funeral services for Kathryn M. (Reardon) Reynolds, 95, will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Family Life Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Marty Crump officiating. Burial will follow in the Rozet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4p.m. to 7p.m., Thursday, at Gillette Memorial Chapel.Mrs. Reynolds passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Katie was born July 1, 1920 at the Reardon family ranch on Bowers Creek near Biddle, Montana to Michael and Gladys (Geer) Reardon. She was the fourth of eleven children. She attended grade school at Black Tail School near Biddle. Katie went to Sacred Heart High School in Miles City, Montana for a while. Katie met Clark Reynolds at Rocky Butte Community Hall, Biddle, Montana. They were married on July 28, 1938 in Broadus, Montana. Katie and Clark then went to work at the Parks Ranch north of Gillette, Wyoming. Their first home was a sheep wagon. Their first son was born in 1940 in Gillette. The family moved to the main Parks Ranch after spring lambing. Two more sons were born while at the Parks Ranch. In 1946 they moved to the Reynolds Homestead near Rocky Point and had six more children. They continued working for Parks, a total of 34 years. While at the Parks ranch Katie cooked for ranch hands, hunters, and visitors. They then went to Duck Creek and worked for Gayle Potter. In 1974 they went into ranching for themselves south of Gillette. In 1980 they moved to Moorcroft and continued to ranch until Clark's passing in 2003. Katie was devoted to her family. She was a hard working woman who taught her children to work and love unconditionally. She supplied her family with canned goods, baked goods, and fresh butter. There was always something to eat at the Reynolds house. Friends and family will always cherish the time playing cards and marbles with Grandma. She loved old country music and dancing. In later years Katie enjoyed traveling and going to the hunting camp with her children. She was always willing to go anywhere to be with family. Playing Bingo with friends at the Pioneer Manor was a joy. Katie was an amazing woman with strong family values. She is survived by her eight children; sons M. Aldin (Sharon), Clark (Kathleen), Chuck (Sandy) Dan (Susie), John (Sally), Harry (Diana), Kelly (Leslie) all of Campbell County and daughter Barbara (Garry) Swingholm of Converse, Texas. Katie had twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-six great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren. Katie is survived by sisters Gladys (Sis) Myhre, Ella "May" Skay, and Mary Hepburn, many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clark; brothers Michael (Tuff), John, Dan, Freeman, Pat, Harvey, and baby sister Hannah; granddaughter Rhonda Reynolds, grandson Wade Swingholm, and great grandson Justin Lee Reynolds. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pioneer Manor Activity Center Fund or Pioneer Manor or a charity of choice.
