Private family services have taken place for Lucille Swain.Lucille went home to her heavenly father, on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 3 a.m., Oh what a joyous reunion that must have been. Virgie Lucille Swain was born to Thomas Franklin and Jesse Mae (Files) Wilkson on May 8, 1926 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She married William "Bud" Swain on December 15, 1945 in her mother's living room in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Their union lasted 66 years. Lucille and Bud travelled extensively while he worked in the oil fields. They lived in several of the United states and Canada. While in Canada, Lucille gave birth to their only child, Donna. She had many nieces and nephews she loved very much, who lovingly called her "Aunt Luke."Lucille and Bud settled in Gillette, WY in 1956. Bud started moving trailer houses in 1962, Lucille was his boss as she ran the Morgan Drive Away Terminal out of their home. Along the way, Lucille and Bud took a wonderful man under their wing, Bud mentored him in the mobile home transport business, Lonnie Crowley became part of the Swain family. Swain's bought Knight's Trailer Park in 1979, Lucille continued to own and operate it until 2013.Lucille's family meant the world to her, as she did to them and if you were her friend, you were a friend for life. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Lucille is survived by her daughter; Donna (Ron) Cossette of Gillette, granddaughters; Dena (Todd) Crabtree of Sheridan, WY, and Chara (Jody) Wood of Gillette, great-grandchildren; Janeaha (Mark) Poole, Jamie Lindstrom, Shaelyn Wood, and Clay Wood all of Gillette, sister; Barbara Rose, brothers; Jeff (Joyce) Wilkson, and Tom (Kathy) Wilkson all of Oklahoma, several nieces and nephews including Kathy Bowman and Lou Gaspers of Gillette. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Bud Swain, brother; Jimmie Wilkson, and sisters; Baby Marie, Elva Lea Wilson and Frankie Fancher.
