JohnsonNovember 4, 1967 January 3, 2016A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday January 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge 4054 E Boxelder Rd Gillette, WY 82716.Brian died unexpectedly January 3, 2016 in his home in Gillette, WY at the age of 48.Born in Grafton, ND, the family moved to Gillette in 1978, and except for a short time in Arizona, Brian lived most of his life here. In school, Brian was involved with wrestling and tennis at Twin Spruce and Sage Valley, and was a member of the graduating class of 1986 of CCHS (Campbell County High School.)A private pilot, Brian earned his A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license and became a multi-engine rated private pilot in Chandler, AZ while working for Plane Folks Aviation.After returning to Gillette in 1995, Brian started his career at Terex Mining Division working as a Field Service Mechanic for over 15 years. As a member of the Special Projects team, Brian travelled around the country building trucks for trade shows and prototype equipment.Brian had many hobbies including vintage autos, motorcycles, fishing, poetry and painting; and a favorite interest was fireworks. Brian also enjoyed spending time with family.Brian is survived by his daughter Kyrie Gullickson of Montana; wife Deborah Johnson; parents Kermit L. and Darlene M. Johnson, Gillette; brother Brett G Johnson and wife Isabelle, Gillette; brother Brenden L. Johnson and wife Brigette, Hillsboro, OR; nephew and godson Michael Johnson (Ashley Underwood, Kade) Gillette; niece Sabrina Johnson (Richard Loya, Richie) Gillette; niece Amber Warren (Brandon Anderson, Heather, Brantley) Grand Forks, ND; niece Amanda Munoz (Tomas) Casper, WY; numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family.Brian was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.Brian's family has been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of his many friends and coworkers.A memorial has been established in his name .
