Funeral Service for Lorane Kosmicki will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday December 18, 2015 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Cliff Jacobson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4p.m. to 7:00p.m. with a vigil starting at 7:00p.m. , Thursday December 17, 2015 at Walker Funeral Home. Lorane passed away on December 13, 2015 at the Close to Home Hospice in Gillette, WY of natural causes.Lorane Bowzer Kosmicki was born on December 21, 1927 to Elton Leo and Florence Alice (Richmond) Bowzer in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Lorane lived in Taylor, Nebraska as a child until the depression forced the family to move to Oregon and California. The family returned to Taylor when she was in the third grade. Lorane graduated from the Taylor High School in 1946. She married Floyd Leo Kosmicki in Sargent, Nebraska on August 19, 1947. They worked on a ranch in Hyannis, Nebraska when they were first married, then Floyd went to work in the oilfields in Sidney, Nebraska, Pinedale, WY, Newcastle, WY and eventually Gillette, WY. Gillette is where they made their home and raised their family. They were married 31 years and had four children, until her husband Floyd died in a car accident in 1978. Lorane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a housewife for many years, then worked at Decker's Bakery, Lipman's Clothing Store, and went to school to learn electrolysis and reflexology. She retired shortly after she was in a car accident that broke her back. Her hobbies included crochet, reading, sewing, spending time with friends but most of all she loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by one brother, sons, Dan Kosmicki of Gillette, WY, Ron (Pam) Kosmicki of Gillette, WY and Tom (Kari) Kosmicki of Gillette, WY; daughter, Lora (Rick) Brown of Rock Springs, WY; Nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Amber, Chris, Misti, Dennis, Tommy, Ryan, Karen and Brynn and Eleven great grandchildren, Brandon, Nevaeh, Kayden, Jade, Madison, Memri, Mylee, Kaine, Remedi, Tayler, and Alexis. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother. A memorial has been established to benefit the Close to Home Hospice for patient support.
