Memorial Services for Doris "Dorie" A. Elliott will be held at 1:00 p. m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at St. Matthews Catholic Church. Dorie Elliott, age 72, of Pine Haven, Wyoming died Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.Doris "Dorie" Anne Elliott was born December 1, 1942 in Lewistown, Montana to Aaron Shull and Doris (Barnes) Shull. She attended school and graduated from St. Leo's High School.Dorie married Ed Elliott in Gillette, Wyoming on April 17, 1978. In June, they moved their newly blended family from Powell, Wyoming to Gillette. Dorie was the collections coordinator for Campbell County Memorial Hospital for 29 years until her retirement in 2009.Dorie will always be remembered for her strength, determination, free spirit, smile, and especially love of family and friends. She, along with her husband, spent most of the past 30 years building their heaven-on-earth. In 2012, they realized their dream when they moved to their "cabin" in Pine Haven, Wyoming. She loved working in the yardmowing the lawn and trimming trees. She loved any opportunity for a road trip to visit family and friends. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Dorie is survived by her husband, Ed, Pine Haven, Wyoming; daughters, Tammie Owens (Gary Scheff), Williston, North Dakota; Trina (Roger) Wood, Lewistown, Montana; son, Vince Elliott, Casper, Wyoming; step daughter, Donna (Brad) Houseworth; sister, Katie (Fred) Hassler, Hilger, Montana; brother, Dan (Kay) Shull, Great Falls, Montana; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Shull and two nephews.A memorial has been established to benefit the American Diabetes Association.
