Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas V. Beeson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Matthews Catholic Church, Father Jason Marco officiating. A rosary will be said in Tom's name, 6:15 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donation are made to Gillette Memorial Chapel in care of the Beeson Family. Thomas Beeson age 77, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Thomas Virgil Beeson was born to Virgil Truman and Nelly Ruth Beeson on July 21, 1938 in Tehachapi, CA. He graduated from Victorville High School in San Bernardino, CA. He then moved to Apple Valley, CA where he joined the Armed Forces and became a United States Marine. He played in the military band. He served in the Korean War in the 1950's.On returning to the US, he moved to Burlington, WY where he lived and worked on a farm with his grandparents. He enjoyed riding and breaking in the wild horses in the mountains and taking part in the rodeos. He worked in the construction industry for a number of years. He was a skilled carpenter and framer by profession and trade. He attended the Police Academy in Del Mar, CA in the 1980's and became a Security Officer and enjoyed working as one for several years. He also was a semi-truck driver and did several odd jobs throughout his life. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping with his wife and dog in the Big Horns of WY. In the 1980's he moved to San Diego, CA where he met Mercella Menzies, and they were married on April 25, 1992. Three years later they moved to Gillette, WY where he later died on October 19, 2015. He was a faithful member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, where he ushered every Sunday at 9 o'clock Mass. He was a Knight of Columbus, a life member of the VFW, a member of the American Legion and it's Drill Team, and served in many military funerals in Gillette, WY. Tom is survived by his wife, Mercella Menzies Beeson of 23 years, sister; Catherine Marcus of Basin, WY and son; David Allen Beeson of Casper, WY. He is preceded in death by his parents; Virgil Beeson of Kingman, AZ and Nelly Beeson of Cannonville, OR, grandparents; Nelly and Myron Elm of Burlington, WY, aunt; Hattie Andreen of Thermopolis, WY and brother-in-law; Jack Marcus of Basin, WY.
