Memorial services for Dorothy "Grandma Dottie" Mobley will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 15, 2015 at The Old Elementary School Gymnasium in Moorcroft, WY, Donovan Voight officiating. Dorothy Mobley age 91, of Moorcroft, WY passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Primrose Retirement Community. Dorothy (Gray) Mobley was born on June 22, 1924 to Lula and Oneal Gray on the family's ranch near Rozet, WY. Dorothy attended school in Rozet and graduated from Rozet High School in 1942. She married the love of her life; Jack Mobley on September 5, 1943. She went right to work for War Manpower Commission and was a true "Rosie the Riveter" 1942-1943, she also worked other various jobs including: Casper Air Base in 1943, a telephone operator1953-1955, Black Hills Bentonite Plant1955-1968, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation 1965-1970, Moorcroft City Clerk 1965-1980, and she also sold Avon. Dorothy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Moorcroft, WY, Moorcroft Cemetery Board, women's bible study, and LOGOS program. Dorothy loved to quilt, golf, sew, bake, garden, play cards and board games, and she was known to wait for the newspaper just for the crossword puzzles. She truly loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved having Christmas day dinner at her house with all of her family. Dorothy is survived by her sons; Jerry (Gini Vanderpool) of Upton, WY and Jimmy (Patty) of Gillette, WY, brother; Richard Gray of Moorcroft, WY, grandchildren; Amy (Doug) Reynolds, Marci (Cory) Allison, Dustin (Jennifer) Mobley, Rusty (Amanda) Mobley, Tory (Jake Day) Vanderpool-Mobley, great grandchildren; Ashley (Lincoln) Driskill, Tanner Allison, Toby Reynolds, Tate Allison, Tucker Allison, Hudson Mobley, Kennedy Mobley, Colton Vanderpool-Mobley and Bryden Mobley. She is preceded in death by her husband; Jack, son; Jackie Mobley, parents; Oneal and Lula Gray, and brother; Alvin Gray. The family requests that memorials be made in Dorothy's name to First Presbyterian Church of Moorcroft, WY or Hospice of Campbell County.
