Funeral services for Carol Dorn will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Family Life Church with Pastor Bill Morel officiating. Visitation will be held 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., Monday, October 12, 2015 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Carol Val "Holdeman" Dorn, age 70 passed away on October 7, 2015, at Pioneer Manor, due to a long illness. Carol was born to Ted and Trena Holdeman. Carol grew up in Gillette and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1963, after graduation she married Harold "Pinky" Dorn with this union 5 children were born, they later divorced. Carol worked as an office manager at K-mart raising her 5 kids for many years until her health no longer allowed her to work. She loved everyone especially her children and grandchildren as her grandchildren who all called her Mamoo. She was an avid recipe collector, loved playing board games, collecting owls, and being the neighborhood house where you always could get a good meal, a shoulder to cry on or a good board game. She loved watching Nebraska Cornhuskers on a Saturday afternoon. While in Pioneer Manor she loved playing bingo and just visiting with everyone. Carol is survived by her 5 Children; Don Dorn of Newcastle, Gayle (Clint) Cooper of Gillette, Trena (Dwayne) Sisson of Rozet, Sandy (Josh) Bott of Gillette, and Stan (Jen) Dorn of Rozet, her 8 grandchildren; Tanya (Adam) Lara, Cortney Mettler, Austin Mettler, Ashley Cooper, Shelby Dorn, Bryer Sims, Evan, and Lance Bott, 2 great -grandchildren Adrian Lara and TayLynn Garner, her sisters; Janet (Bud) Clements, and Ann Grant all of Gillette, her best friend; Esther Shilts of Moorcroft, many Niece, Nephews, and good friends. Carol is proceed in death by her parents, grandson; Clayton Cooper, her sister; Catherine Study, brother; Jim Holdeman, and nephew; Ted Holdeman.
