Funeral Service for Marvin J. Krussow will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 3, 2015 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Jason Marco and Deacon Kim Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post 42 Honor Guard. A visitation will be held 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Walker Funeral Home. Marvin Krussow, age 74, of Gillette, WY passed away at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY on September 28, 2015. Marvin Jerome Krussow was born on May 12, 1941 in Bozeman, MT to Erwin and Helen Krussow. He grew up in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from South High. After graduation Marvin wen to Naval Boot Camp and served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. While in the military he was awarded Good Conduct Medal, Commendation in 1964 for participation in flood relief operations in South Vietnam, Commendation for Participation in 1962 nuclear tests in the pacific and he also completed two courses in Amphibious Boat Command School. It was during this time he married the love of his life Paula Benson on December 28, 1963 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Chula Vista, CA. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he went to work at UPS where he retired from in April 2000. He was awarded with several awards for having safe driving for thirty years. After retirement Marvin was busy being a grandparent, fishing, gardening, and being a wonderful husband. He was a member of teamsters union for 31 years and was an active member of the VFW. Marvin enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, camping, family and granddaughters. He was a great man who loved his family, he never met a stranger and he will be missed by all who were lucky to know him. Marvin is survived by his wife, Paula Krussow of Gillette, WY; sons, Anthony J. Krussow of Gillette, WY, Joseph D. Krussow of East Grand Forks, MN; two granddaughters Abigail Krussow and Terria Krussow. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles and cousins.
