Ethan Nathaniel Block, known to his friends and family as Nate, was born June 5, 1996 to Lance Block and Deb Carstensen. He lived in Gillette all his life but dreamed of adventures in different places. Nate attended Rawhide and Stocktrail Elementary Schools and graduated from CCHS in 2014. He recently decided he would follow his Dad and Uncle Brian and go into the electrical field. Nate was hired by Scott Brothers as an electrical apprentice. He was attending Gillette Campus working towards a journeyman electrician certification. He loved working for Scott Brothers Electric. Nate's passions were snowboarding at Meadowlark Ski Lodge with Jori Banks and Matt Blakeman, trips to Sunlight Basin to fish with his Dad and Grandpa. He loved playing pitch with family; especially shooting the moon on Uncle Bob. Nate loved art, music and gloving with Michael Spielman. Most of all Nate loved hanging with friends and family. We will forever miss his infectious smile and sense of humor. He touched so many lives with a funny accent, joke, song or whatever it took to see you smile. He is survived by his father, Lance Block of Gillette, WY; mother and step father, Deb (Marky) Lynn of Gillette; sisters, Bess Madsen of Idaho and Heather Long of Gillette; paternal great grandma Grace Block and maternal great grandpa Howard Drain. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandma Mary Block, maternal grandma Dawn Drain, his uncle Robert Carstensen, maternal great grandma Grace Drain and numerous aunts and uncles. To honor Nate the family asks that bright colors and jeans be worn. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that memorials be made to help benefit the Campbell County Suicide Prevention Council.
