Funeral Services for Terry Joe Curry will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 3, 2015 at Christian Church 100 E. Flying Circle Drive, Gillette, WY, and Pastor George Keralis officiating. Family to receive friends will be held 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Gillette Memorial chapel. Terry Joe Curry passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Terry was born on August 10, 1985 to Dixie Lee Curry and Earl Paul Rubis in Gillette, WY. He attended school in Gillette, WY and graduated from Campbell County High School in 2003. Terry married the love of his life Mindy Rose Von Ruden on September 8, 2007. The couple was blessed with two adorable boys; Hunter and Gunnar. Terry was a loving and caring man, who would always find time to help anyone in need. He also lived to serve his community and took great pride in becoming a fireman. Terry was a devoted husband and caring father, working hard to support his family. Terry was employed with North Antelope Rochelle Mine (NARM) at the time of his passing. While working at NARM, he was on the SMET (Surface Mining Emergency Team). Terry had a tremendous passion for rescuing people. Terry also loved 4-wheeling, motorcycles, guns and knife making. His true passion was spending time with his family, one important person in Terry's life was his Grandpa Albert, who he would spend hours with. His Grandpa taught him many skills including working with iron, mechanics, knife building, and carpentry. Terry has touched the hearts of so many lives, he was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, grandson and friend. Terry is survived by his wife; Mindy Curry, children; Hunter and Gunnar Curry, mother; Dixie Lee Curry, father; Earl Rubis, sisters; Tiffany Bloem, Teisha Curry, Kearstin Apodaca, and Olivia Rubis, brothers; Devon Rubis, Kenny Schwartz , grandfather; Albert Curry and Dell Rubis, grandmother; Alice Rubis, brother-in-laws; Jason Von Ruden, and John Von Ruden, and sister-in-law; Tara Von Ruden, and mother and father-in-law; Nancy and Allan Von Ruden. Terry is preceded in death by his grandmother; Dixie Ann Curry. The family asks that memorials be made to benefit Terry's wife and children.
