Funeral services for Ginger Costin will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Pastor Paul Bodin will be officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Ginger M. Costin, of Gillette, Wyoming, died Saturday July 11, 2015 in Sioux Falls. South Dakota. She was 63 years old.Ginger Mary Costin was born August 14, 1951, the daughter of Virginia (Abstein) and Francis Havey in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon graduating high school, she attended nursing school to become an RN. She was swept off her feet by a Vietnam veteran, Frank Costin. They were married on November 19, 1977. The couple lived in St. Louis until they moved to Gillette in 1996.She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW Post 7756, the Wyoming Historical Society, and the American Nurses Association. As an RN, she helped many patients in Gillette, especially through the Heptner Cancer Center at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Lately, she had become a travelling nurse and spent many weeks at Avera McKennan Medical Oncology Clinic in Sioux Falls.Ginger is survived by one son, Stephen Costin of Natchitoches, Louisiana; one daughter, Julia Costin of Gillette, Wyoming; two granddaughters, Alyssa Costin and Jayden Costin, both of Gillette, Wyoming; two aunts; and numerous cousins.She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and husband.The family requests that donations be made to the Heptner Cancer Center in Ginger's name.
