Funeral services for Jeanette Simpson of Gillette, WY will be Friday, June 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Blanche Beck Chapel at Pioneer Manor. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service also at Blanche Beck Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pisgah Cemetery. Jeanette Lynn Simpson age 70, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 in Gillette, WY. Jeanette was born on September 20, 1943 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of James "Jim" Greenawalt and Jacqueline D. Hoyt. Her childhood years were spent in Missouri, and moving through life as an adult she also lived in Ohio, Arkansas, Iowa, South Dakota, and most recent Gillette, WY. Jeanette worked from a very young age and soon after began her family. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother, raising 6 children whom blessed her with 9 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Along with raising her family Jeanette worked in her younger years in the Watermelon harvesting fields as a Truck Driver, by Campbell County as a School Bus Driver, and Bridger Coal as a Haul Truck Operator. She enjoyed travel, camping & fishing, singing & dancing, crafting, and most time spent with all of her family. Some of her favorites included Werther's hard candy, Diet Pepsi, Tomatoes, & Pretzels.She is survived by; 2 Sons: Billy Rogers of Jonesboro, AR and Tony Rodgers of MS, 3 Daughters: Cora Rogers, Martin of Sioux Falls, SD, Jacqueline Rogers, Krasniuk (Cotton) of Gillette, WY, & Kathleen Rodgers of Alamo, TN, 9 Grandchildren: Jessie, Justin, Zac, Stephanie, Heather, Serenity, Kevin, McKenzie, Wayne & 14 Great Grandchildren.3 Sisters: Virginia Vilt "Pete" of Moberly, MS, Zada Francois of Carlinville, IL, & Etta Greenawalt, Dwaal "Koke" of Durant, OKShe is preceded in death by: 1 Daughter: Terri Rogers, Her Parent's: James "Jim" Greenawalt and Jacqueline S. Hoyt, 3 Sisters: Martha Ray Nance, Mary Ann "Butch" Dennis, and Genivive "squeakie" Pearl Armstrong In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Jeanette's name to Gillette Memorial Chapel.
