Ellen Melissa Blakeman

Ellen Blakeman age 72, of Moorcroft, WY passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at Close to Home Hospice of natural causes. Ellen was born on April 25, 1943 in Gillette, WY to Opal (Rhodes) and Otto Compton. She attended school in Campbell County. On October 18, 1959 she married Calvin Blakeman, the couple had three children; Dave, Clay and Val. Ellen worked a variety of jobs, including Cal's Bait Shop, Do Drive In, and Coffee Cup Fuel Stop in Moorcroft, WY from which she retired in 2014. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, spending time with her family, and knitting slippers for loved ones. Ellen was loved by everyone. There wasn't anyone that she wouldn't do something for. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly; she will be greatly missed by all. Ellen is survived by her children; Dave Blakeman of Gillette, WY, Clay Blakeman of Moorcroft, WY, and Val Blakeman of Moorcroft, WY, sister; Audrey Kistler of Broadus, MT, along with 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; Calvin, her parents, grandparents and a sister in infancy. There is no service planned at this time.
