A luncheon will be provided following interment at Family Life Church. A gathering of friends and family will be Friday, May 15th at Gillette Memorial Chapel at 4:00 p.m.Kaden was born July 18th, 1999 in Gillette, Wyoming to Tricia and Mike Simonson. His sister Ashley (24) and brother Cole (19) welcomed him as the youngest addition to the family, a chubby-cheeked and brown-eyed bundle of boy. Kaden was dedicated as a baby and later baptized at Family Life Church. He continued to grow in his faith and become a strong young man of christian morals and values who attended church with his mom, Trish, for many years. He had a strong faith in Jesus and was never swayed by others. He left his family all too soon on May 8th, 2015.Kaden attended school at Wagon Wheel and Pronghorn elementaries before attending Sage Valley Junior High. Kaden was a wonderful athlete. At a very young age he started playing t-ball and soccer then went on to play baseball and pee wee football. He even competed in Hershey track and at the state track meet. Once in junior high he further pursued his athletic goals -- pushing himself in football, track, and off-season training. His enthusiasm for sports was no doubt lived-out in the support of his favorite sports teams; The Sage Valley Eagles, Wyoming Cowboys and the San Diego Chargers. He watched over 8 hours of the draft this year and was very happy to see the Chargers recruit Melvin Gordon with the 15th pick overall.Kaden was a kid that loved his family and enjoyed simply being at home with them. A few special places could coax him away like the Big Horn Mountains, Keyhole, War Memorial Stadium to watch his Wyoming Cowboys and Paul and Stacey Brown's ranch where he would ride four-wheelers and lend a hand in the ranch work. He also loved to go fly-fishing and hunting with his brother Cole. When he was younger Kaden also enjoyed spending his summers at his Grandma Kathy's cabin in the Medicine Bow Mountains where he would hunt for arrowheads and go crawdad fishing.Kaden often found his fun in video games, jumping on the trampoline, staying at Grandpa Mel and Grandma Bev's house, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with his dad, getting his mom hooked on TV shows like The Walking Dead, and he never passed on an 80's movie marathon with his sister Ashley.Kaden loved Legos and had a large collection of Star Wars' themed lego models hidden in his closet. He put them away by 9th grade not wanting his friends to know he had them. He always said when he grew up and became rich he would put his lego models in a display case for all to see. On the other hand there were things he was never afraid to admit. He was a huge Katy Perry fan and often sang with her in the shower at the top of his lungs. He also was very proud of a certificate honoring him as "The Best Juliet" in Mrs. Kenyon-Woods English class. Kaden never backed down from a war of words. He was extremely witty and usually won. Except, maybe, against his sister Ashley. Kaden had many friends and got along with most everyone. He also spoke very highly of his favorite teachers at Sage Valley. Mr. Schlekeway, Mr. Rasse, Mrs. Kenyon-Wood, Mrs. Brown were a huge influence in his life and truly made school a place he wanted to be. There are not enough words or paper to tell all of you who Kaden was as a son, grandson, brother, friend and person. He was more than we could ever ask for and the pain of missing him is more than any person should have to bear.Kaden was preceded in death by his Great-Grandparents Dick and Irma Simonson, Kay Adams, Lorraine Stamus, Ken Stamus, Grandpa Dale Simonson, his cousin Eric Larson and his yellow lab Bo.He is survived by his parents Mike and Tricia Simonson, sister Ashley, brother Cole, dogs Jesse and Bridger, grandparents Mel and Bev Sanders, Grandpa Conrad Zeitler, Grandpa Rick Bost, Grandma Kathy Fraser.
