Frances Errington passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 of natural causes. Frances Patricia "Pat" (Lang) Errington was born on November 21, 1934 in Monterey, CA to Frank and Grace (Wilmont) Lang, the younger of two daughters. They lived in Carmel Valley, CA where her family had a small dairy farm and her father was a carpenter. She graduated from Monterey High in 1952. She played basketball in high school, showed horses and beef in 4-H. On October 23, 1954 she married Charles Errington; they had four children from this union. She and Charles worked side by side on several ranches in California, Oregon and Idaho. They always had good cow horses and the kids, Pat and Charles would saddle up and work cattle together. Until they moved to the Duraham Ranch south of Gillette in 1974, where they worked until 1977 when they went to work for Black Thunder Coal Mine and remained there until they retired in 2001. Pat was always there for her children and supported them if they were in sports, horse shows, or showing in 4-H she was always there cheering them on. She was always their 4-H leader and loved taking them camping. She instilled in them the love of good horsemanship and the love of ranching. Pat was quite a horse woman herself and travelled all over the country with her youngest daughter to horse shows. Pat showed and trained horses well into her sixty's. Pat is survived by her son; Rick (Laurie) Errington of Custer, MT, daughter; Cheri Carter of Gillette, WY, sisters; Marge (John) Sarratt and Anna Marie Lang, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; Frank Lang, mother; Grace (Wilmont) Lang, husband; Charles Edward Errington, daughter; Catherine Elizabeth Errington Coleman, and son; Charles Edward Errington Jr. Her ashes will be scattered up on the ridge by the big pine tree overlooking the log home she and Charles built together, to join her husband, son, and daughter.
