Pinkerton was born on March 16, 1954 in Deadwood, SD to William and Donna Pinkerton. Wes grew up in Lead, SD and attended Lead High School. After graduation he began working for Black Hills Power and Light in Lead, SD and wastransferredto Gillette in 1994. Later heworked at Basin Electric in Gillette. Wes married the love of his life Chandra Nelson July 4, 1998 in Gillette. Wes was a devoted son, brother, husband, dad and papa who above all loved his family. No friend or family member would be turned away if he could help. Wes was one of the most selfless people you would meet. He was always giving without ever asking for anything in return. He was a hard worker and could do anything he put his mind to. A man that hated to hire anything done; he built a home by himself, worked on his own vehicles and even tried to make his own dentures. Wes' three granddaughters were his biggest pride and joy. He loved spending every minute he could with them. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like hunting, camping and chopping firewood. All who knew and loved Wes would attest to the fact that he was "a go to guy" there was no project or task that he would shy away from. Wes lived a fulfilling 61 years of life and for that we are truly grateful. He was loved by many and liked and respected by almost everyone he met. He was a great man and will be deeply missed.
