Virginia Rae Henry

February 19, 1936 — April 8, 2015

With flowers blooming and the smell of spring in the air, Mom's favorite time of the year, our Mother, Grandmother, and second mother of many friends, Virginia Rae Henry, passed away April 8, 2015. She was surrounded by her children in her home in Gillette WY. Even in her last days with us, she was the strongest, most selfless, witty woman we will ever know.Virginia was born February 19, 1936, to Harold and Esther Kicker, in Miles City, Montana. Before graduating high school in 1954 from Jordan, Montana, she had lived in Montana, Washington, Alaska, and then returned back to Montana. Virginia married in 1956 and to this union was blessed with three children. Throughout her life, Virginia was a hard worker, from being a rancher's wife, to working in a pole camp in the Little Belt Mountains. She continued her amazing work ethic holding down two waitressing jobs in White Sulphur Springs, until starting work at the Post Office, at which time she continued working as a waitress also. She soon became Post Master in Cameron, Montana, where she retired after 25 years with the United States Postal Service. While working in Cameron, her Mother came to live with her, so Virginia was able to take care of her. Virginia and her Mother then moved to Gillette, Wyoming, to be closer to Virginia's daughter. True to nature, she could not sit still, so she went to work at the Wal Mart pharmacy, where she received numerous awards, all while in her 70's! In her spare time, she loved working in her yard, producing a garden and beautiful flower beds, crocheting afghans, doilies, Barbie clothes, and quilting with her Mom. After her Mom's passing, Virginia moved in with her daughter, Laurie. She blessed her daughter with teaching her the beauty of vegetable gardening, creating flower gardens, canning and cooking. She was very close to her grandchildren, from helping them with their homework to attending EVERY ONE of their high school and college basketball games; she loved spending time with them. Virginia loved playing cards, and always looked forward to a heated game of crib with her sons. While being completely dedicated to her children and grandchildren, their whole lives, Virginia was hardworking, strong, giving, caring, loving, compassionate, and non-judgmental. Virginia is survived by her three children, JR Grebe, Great Falls, MT, Laurie (Brian) Tusha, Gillette, WY, Todd (Julie) Grebe, Billings, MT; grand-children, Ashley (Brandon) Fullenwider, Jordan Kent, Kyoni Serna, Emily Grebe, Tristan McNatt, Devan McNatt, Kayleen McNatt, great grand-children Haevyn Fullenwider, soon to come Baby Fullenwider, Maycee Copeland, and Ronan McNatt, sister-in-laws, Margery Kicker and Lilah Kicker. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Barney, Jim, and Donnie Kicker, and grandson Justin Copeland. Mom, Grandma, You will never be forgotten and you are missed dearly. Thanks for always being there for us, whenever we needed you, and teaching us value and hard work to help us all pave our future. Your garden will now be always plentiful and your flowers will bloom all year. We love you!!! At Virginia's request no services will be performed, cremation has taken place and she will be freed to the flowers of Montana at a later date.
