Funeral services for Linda Lea Hanson will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1500 O'Hara Drive. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Linda, age 65, of Gillette, died on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Close to Home Hospice, after a valiant battle with cancer.Linda Lea Hanson was born December 13, 1949 to John Ford "Jack" and Frankie Lois (Wilkson) Williams in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Linda attended Horace Mann Grade School, Shawnee, OK, grades one through seven and eighth grade in Gillette, WY. She attended Campbell County High School. In 1968, Linda moved with her mother and stepfather, Lowell J. Fancher to Montana where she met and married Arlen Price on June 2, 1968. They were later divorced. Linda moved back to Gillette where she met Robert E. "Bob" Hanson. They were married on December 15, 1973 in Gillette, WY at the Lutheran Church. Linda went to work at Black Gold Cafe, Pioneer Manor, The Sandbox, and Hunter Drug for several years. In 1985 she went to work at Pat's Hallmark, and in 1998 went to work as manager of the Cook's Nook. Linda liked to go home to Oklahoma, go to casinos, game shows, trivia, shopping and gift giving. She was a good cook and made the BEST chicken fried steak. While she loved spending time with her best friend "Zoey", it was the time that she spent with her family that she treasured most. Linda will be missed by her family and her many friends. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Bob, mother Frankie, father Jack, brother Johnnie, step mother Wanita, grandsons Dennis and Joseph. Linda will be missed by her aunts and uncles, Lucille Swain of Gillette, Barbara Rose of Edmund, OK, Jeff Wilkson (Joyce) of Grove, OK, Thomas Wilkson (Kathy) of Oklahoma City, OK. Her stepsons, Gene (Nancy) Hanson of Wright, WY, Lawrence (Tracey) Hanson of Sheldon, MO, Joseph Mark Hanson of Gillette, WY.; 11 grandchildren Amber Patenaude and Michelle (Jami) Igo all of Gillette, Nathan (Holly) Hanson of Bossier City, LA, Robert (Keely) Hanson of Anchorage, AK, Autumn and Stormy Hanson of Lompoc, CA, Shane (Kim) Hanson of Joplin, MO, and Kylei Hanson of Sheldon, MO, and Colten (Nichole) Hanson of Wedowee, AL.; 2 nieces, Lindsey Williams and Brittany Williams of Gillette, 15 great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Scott, Michael, Mariah, Kori, Kayla, Hailey, Destiny, Chance, Logan, Landon, Kristen, Kaelyn, Bentlyee, and Taylen, many cousins and good friends.
