Patricia M. Cooper, age 78, died quietly with family by her side on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital following an unexpected illness.Patricia M. Cooper was born on September 3, 1936 to William Harris and Marguerite (Lehman) Harris in Superior, Wisconsin. Pat grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated as an X-Ray Technician in September, 1955. Pat married Jackie "Jack" Cooper on January 7, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. They settled in Gillette, Wyoming in 1957. Pat graduated from the Pueblo (Colorado) Vocational Community College in December, 1980 with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. In 1981, she went to work at Campbell County Memorial Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse and spent the next 16 years there. Later she worked at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home until retiring so she could spend time with her grandchildren and travel.Pat enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, cryptaquotes, sudoku, traveling and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She was a very kind and compasionate woman who always put family first. The time she enjoyed most was spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had a "snack" ready for them and lots of hugs.Pat is survived by two sons, Patrick "Bud" Cooper and Paul (Kim) Cooper; three daughters, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Cooper, J-Ann Cooper (Michael Jerney) and Annette (Chad) Schmidt all of Gillette; six grandchildren, Jason Cooper, Mahri Fredericksen, Shandon Hildreth, Tucker Hildreth, Kacy Fundenberger and Kara Cooper; four great-grandchildren, Tegan Fredericksen, Eliza Hildreth, Cameron Hildreth and Brooklynn Cooper; one brother, James "Jim" Harris of Port Charlotte, Florida; one sister, Judith "Judy" (Don) Larson of Pueblo West, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and Jack.In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a memorial in Pat's name to benefit the Heptner Cancer Center at Campbell County Memorial Hospital or a charity of choice and memorials can be sent to the Walker Funeral Home at 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, Wyoming 82716.Condolences can be sent via the internet at www.walkerfuneralgillette.com.
