Thomas Howard Palmer

Thomas Palmer passed away March 13, 2015 at his home in Gillette, WY. Thomas H. Palmer, son of Eva (Laurenti) Palmer and the late Howard Palmer was born January 20, 1959 in Deadwood, South Dakota. He was raised in Lead and after graduation he began working for Palmers Texaco. Thomas then relocated to Gillette in 1981 Thomas then relocated to Gillette in 1981 started work with L&T fabrication as a millwright for five years before going to work for Hladky Construction for 16years. Thomas married Irma Newman in September of 1980 and to this union was Thomas's first child his daughter, Anesse who was born in September of 1981. They later divorced and he met LeAnn Person in 1984 and the couple was married in February of 1986. The couple had a son, Nicholas, who was born in July of 1986. Sadly LeAnn passed away in August of 1999. After LeAnn passed he met Lynda Johnson in October of 1999 and they were together until his sudden passing. Thomas belonged to the St. Matthews Catholic Church in Gillette. He loved four wheeling, fixing and modifying cars, ice fishing and was always willing to help others out. Most of all Thomas loved his grandkids. Thomas is survived by fianc Lynda Johnson of Gillette, WY; son, Nick Palmer of Gillette, WY; daughter, Anesse Palmer of Denver, Colorado; step-son, Matt Johnson of Gillette, WY; step-daughter, Jamie Boardman of Gillette, WY; his mother Eva (Laurenti) Palmer, Lead, ; a sister, Sherry McGrath, Gillette; a brother, Ralph Palmer, Gillette; and his four grandchildren, Owen and Aiden Palmer, Tristan Boardman and Naomi Smith. He is preceded in death by his late wife LeAnn (Person) Palmer; his father Howard Palmer; step-son Bryan Boardman. A memorial has been established in Tom's name.
